5、而有的动词后接双宾语时，既不能用介词to引出间接宾语，也不能用介词for引出间接宾语。如allow, ask, cause, charge, cost, forgive, refuse等：

offer的常用搭配

1）offer后常接to do 做宾语，表示“主动提出做…”；也可直接跟名词。

offer，provide，supply有什么不同

1.Provide

用法：

（1）provide sb. with sth.

（2）provide sth. for sb.

Provide主要指组织或者个人提供一些对别人有帮助的事物（包括信息，物质，服务等各种），重点在于“提供别人所需要的东西”。

Free parking is provided for hotel guests.

免费停车提供给酒店客人。

The language school provides all its new entrants with free boarding.

语言学校会给新入学生提供住宿。

2.Offer

用法：

（1）offer sb. sth.

（2）offer sth. to sb.

Offer同样也是“提供”的意思，主要侧重点在于提供者“主动地”给需要者提供帮助，建议，机会等。例如现在大家都很喜欢把受到的工作邀请机会称为offer，其实也是公司主动提出的邀请。

He offered to go instead of me.

他主动提出代替我去。

The company offered a fantastic position to me.

公司提供一个很不错的职位给我。

3.Supply

用法：

（1）supply sth. to sb.

（2）supply sb. with sth.

Supply主要是按照周期，或者是长时间的补给品，例如说一些生活用品，日常食物，强调定期的提供补给。

Electrical power is supplied by underground cables.

电力是由地下电缆输送的。

The company supplies fish to local shops and restaurants.

公司提供鱼给本地的商铺以及餐馆。
